Our half day of rafting Oregon’s beautiful McKenzie River includes two trip options: from Paradise Campground to Bruckart or from Finn Rock to Helfrich Landing.

Half Day on McKenzie River
Paradise to Bruckart

  • Ideal for rafters who want a more continuous whitewater experience
  • Rapids start within a few yards of the launch and continue for 8.5 miles
  • Rest and snack stop is at McKenzie Bridge Campground
  • More rapids immediately follow the rest stop
  • First calm pool is beyond the distinctive covered bridge in Rainbow
  • Length: ~ 10 miles; time on the river: 2.5 hours (see map)

Finn Rock to Helfrich

  • Ideal introductory rafting experience
  • For families and groups (minimum age: 4 years)
  • First three miles allow rafters to get used to the river and team paddling
  • Whitewater excitement follows with wave-train rapids
  • Stop for rest and snack
  • At Brown’s Hole, rafts drop into a pool of effervescent turquoise
  • At Marten Rapids, experience thrilling waves and hydraulics as rafts thread through rocks—the trip’s highpoint!
  • Length: ~ 10 miles; time on the river: 3 hours (see map)

McKenzie River Map

We combine groups to fill rafts and run multiple rafts to fill trips. Should your group want an exclusive raft, the cost is $75 per person or $450 for a half day; $95 per person or $570 for a full day. Please let us know when you make your reservation, and we will do our best to accommodate your request.

  • Cancellations made more than 14 days before your trip date will not be assessed a charge.
  • Cancellations made 7 to 14 days before your trip will be assessed a 50% charge.
  • Cancellations made less than 7 days before your trip will be assessed the full charge.
  • Groups of 28 or more will have an adjusted cancellation timeline because guides are secured farther in advance of the trip date. We will present that information to those groups as necessary.

All participants must sign our Release, Assumption of Risk and Indemnity Agreement. Participants may bring signed releases to the rafting trip starting site or sign them upon arrival. We will have release forms available.
